Get Your Flu Shots

Get Your Flu Shots!

Henry County Public Health joins the Iowa Dept. of Public Health and the CDC in urging an annual flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older as the best way to protect against influenza. By getting a yearly flu vaccine, you can protect yourself from illness, and protect those around you. If your child, aged 6 months through 8 years, did not have a flu shot last year, they will require two doses of influenza vaccine administered a minimum of four weeks apart. Vaccination is also important for health care workers, and other people who live with or care for high risk people, to keep from spreading the flu to them.

Vaccines are available at regular Immunization Clinics: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and the first Thursday of each month, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
