The Henry County School to Career Consortium is made up of volunteers from the education and business sectors. The Consortium is a venue for discussing partnership opportunities between education and business, and organizes numerous county-wide activities throughout the year.
Elementary students see and hear about a wide range of jobs during the annual career awareness activity. Local business representatives take part.
All the 8th graders in the county have the opportunity to learn about team building and ethical decision making. Business leaders facilitate events that have students working together to think about ethics when making a decision and reaching a consensus when working as a team.
Henry County high school students have the opportunity to learn from a variety of business leaders about their careers and the skills needed to be successful.
A one day seminar that teaches effective communication, ethical decision making, the importance of volunteerism and showing gratitude to others throughout life to Henry County High School students.
