As your child enters the toddler stage, they are learning many new skills. This stage can be full of questions as your child begins to express their independence and grow into their own little person.

To help with this process, we would like to invite you to be a part of the Partners for a Healthy Toddler program. The following guidelines explain how the program works:

  • The program is for toddlers ages 18-48 months and their parents. (Siblings are also welcome to attend.)
  • Classes take place at the Family Connection.
  • 4 to 8 families meet together once a month. Typically meetings are on a Tuesday morning (9:30-10:30 a.m.) or a Thursday evening (6:30-7:30 p.m.)
  • Each class session will focus on a variety of topics, allowing plenty of time for questions or discussion.
  • Each class will include time for the parents and toddlers to participate in special activities together.

Families receive a two binders full of information. One binder contains information for the age months 19-27. The second binder contains information for age months 28-36.

If you have questions or are interested in being part of this fun and informative program, please contact Jenny at 385-8126 or jpetty@iastate.edu.

This is an Empowerment funded program. Through state and federal funding, our Empowerment area supports programs for families in Henry County with children 0-5 years of age. The Empowerment mission is to ensure that every child, beginning at birth, will be healthy and successful.
