Healthy living is important right from the start. HHCC programs
target opportunities for making a positive impact on the health
and well-being of even the youngest residents and their
families. Continuing education and support helps each child and
family reach their fullest potential.
Family Connection:
Offers classes and programs
to strengthen parenting skills, improve early education
opportunities for young children and improve the lives of
families through prevention and early intervention.
Partnering for a Healthy Baby:
Provides the
information and support needed to have a healthy pregnancy
and healthy baby. Prenatal and post-partum services and
educational materials are part of this program.
Partnering for a Healthy Toddler:
Provides the
information and support needed to help with the process of a child who is entering the toddler stage, learning new skills, and expressing their independence.
Project REACH:
Works with area childcare
providers to achieve the highest level of care for young
children.
Child Health Services:
Conducts clinics for
dental screening, nutrition counseling, social work
services, and lead screening.
Community Partnerships for Protecting Children:
Helps develop programming and partnerships to keep youth
safe and families strong.
Henry County Substance Abuse Coalition:
Helps build strong
relationships between youth and adults to reduce the use of
alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Mentoring:
Positively impacting the lives of young people by
providing adult support and learning opportunities that
promote character development and life-enhancing values.
School-To-Career:
Helps increase student
awareness of workplace knowledge, skills and expectations.
