Scholastic Book Orders

Participants of The Family Connection are able to order books from Scholastic Book Orders using points earned through participation in Family Connection programming. Parents can select books appropriate for their child's age and interests with the assistance of Family Connection programming staff.

Family Storyteller

The Family Storyteller program is an educational program using children's literature and is built upon the ideas of family literacy and parental empowerment. Each weekly session features a new book and video tape highlighting the techniques. Parents will have the time in class to practice reading to their children and time is provided to discuss reactions to the books and to do language activities.

Family Storyteller programming is available periodically throughout the year during Parents Class on Tuesday evenings.
