Parents Class

Classes are offered the first and third Tuesday of every month from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. These educational courses provide parents with the opportunity to meet other families in the Henry County community, while learning more about the ever changing world of parenting. Weekly educational classes on nutrition, guidance and discipline, money management, home safety, literacy, and other topics are offered to participants.

The Family Connection requires all participants to meet with a member of the staff on a monthly basis. We use the Parents as Teachers curriculum to discuss issues that relate to parenting and child development. These visits are an integral part of our program.

While parents are in class, the children are led in activities including reading and interactive play. Parents are provided with information regarding their child's growth, development and socialization abilities.

Madres

Madres offers Spanish speaking parents the opportunity to learn more about raising a child in today's world. This course is held entirely in Spanish and is open to anyone in the community with children ages 0 - 5. Please contact The Family Connection for more details.
