Educational Opportunities for
Parents of Henry County

Parents Class

Classes are offered every Tuesday night from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. These educational courses provide parents with the opportunity to meet other families in the Henry County community, while learning more about the ever changing world of parenting. Weekly educational classes on nutrition, guidance and discipline, money management, home safety, literacy, and other topics are offered to participants.

While parents are in class, the children are led in activities including reading and interactive play. Parents are provided with information regarding their child's growth, development and socialization abilities.

Chic Chat

Chic Chat is a supportive group for women to discuss motherhood issues and interact with other women and their children. Chic Chat meets every Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Madres

Madres offers Spanish speaking parents the opportunity to learn more about raising a child in today's world. This course is held entirely in Spanish and is open to anyone in the community with children ages 0 - 5. Please contact The Family Connection for more details.

Father's Class

Father's Class offers dads an opportunity to learn more about parenting from a father's perspective. Open to all Henry County fathers with children ages birth to five. Classes are held every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Free childcare is provided for all participants.
